Josh Bell will provide goalkeeping cover and compete for a place along with the club's other senior stoppers this season.
The youngster signed a one-year professional deal after featuring regularly in the reserve side during 2007/08.
The goalkeeper broke into the youth side at the back end of the 2006/07 campaign and went on to make the number one jersey his own.
An agile shot-stopper, Bell will continue to learn his trade under goalkeeping coach Mark Crossley.
